On April 15, the program City Evening Peak on Shanghai Television News Comprehensive Channel aired the episode titled “10 Yuan Parking Fee Sparks Conflict: How to Find the Optimal Solution?”. Liu Weiwei, Vice Dean of the Business School and Head of the Department of Transportation System Engineering, was interviewed on the issue.

In the interview, Liu Weiwei put forward a series of suggestions regarding the management of online car-hailing services at Hongqiao Transportation Hub. These measures aim to refine urban traffic management and enhance operational efficiency. His suggestions included: designate exclusive parking zones, implement real-time parking space updates, clarify platform responsibilities, optimize parking fees, and build an information-sharing platform. Liu emphasized that these steps would resolve current conflicts, boost operational efficiency, and provide passengers with more convenient services.

Liu Weiwei has actively participated in the “Yangpu District Community Pioneers” sharing events organized by the Yangpu District Civil Affairs Bureau, Transportation Commission, Local Governance Office, Youth League Committee, and other institutions. These activities were featured in special reports by mainstream media such as Shanghai Television and Yangpu Television, garnering widespread acclaim. With a long-term focus on transportation planning, low-carbon cities, and emergency management research, he has led over 20 national and municipal projects, including the National Social Science Foundation Program and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Program. He has also published more than 30 research papers in these fields.
